GSA 2024

One of the many pros to being an academic is the opportunity to share research at big conferences like the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) conference I attended last month in Seattle, Washington! I was able to learn more about the different work in the field of gerontology and where the field is moving especially when it comes to topics like migration and Latinos. I saw a lot of poster presentations acknowledging nativity status in Latinos, which I had not seen in previous conferences I attended in the psychology space.

I also had some time to do some sight seeing since this was my first time in Seattle! Our conference was near the Public Market and the first Starbucks, so we quickly walk through to see. The weather was too gloomy and cold for a Californian like myself.
